Thank you for the reminder. Even though I have a lifetime license I have to get a new one printed each year or I can get a ticket for not having my license on me. roll

Here’s a question; has anyone successfully used a photo or pdf of their license on a smart phone to prove to the DNR they they are licensed?

Thanks for the reminder! I remembered my boat, but almost forgot about the fishing license… doah

When buying online, it’s just as easy to print 3-4 copies of the license and stick them in the boat, tackle bag, wallet and truck. Unless you don’t have a printer…

Although I haven’t needed to, it’s the law. They are allowed so I can’t see what the issue would be. Dead cell battery. Drop it in the river?

I’m old school and just printed three copies out for the FW and FD. They always forget the one that I give them so I put one in each boat. FD has it on her cell and she NEVER forgets that. )

I tried to renew yesterday and the DNR site was down. Hopefully they get it fixed soon.

The Go Wild card is nice to have. WI has made it somewhat easier. Carrying paper around in 2018 seems hilarious.

I love my Go Wild card. Only downside to the card is you cannot easily check which license you purchased and when each license or permit expires. I know it can be checked online, but for people who fish, duck hunt, deer hunt, small game and turkey hunt, it can sometimes get confusing if you don’t purchase them all in one shot.

Yes, many times by different CO’s across the state. Only had one guy grip about it but that was a few years ago. Nothing recent. I think most CO’s have caught up with the times and it’s 100% legal.

Just make sure it’s easily accessible!!

On the Croix last year I lost my PDF in the phone for sometime and was starting to annoy the WI sheriffs. Think they were about to get real PO’d and take our fish before I found it. Apologized profusely about it and as mentioned printed off few versions to keep everywhere now.

Make their jobs easier. I also foresee some dropped phones while checking, I’ll pass on that.
