Little by little the various websites hosting Ken’s images have vanished. There was an IDO album I think on the old site that Tuck had put together. Appreciated his natural ability for composition. He did an amazing job. Not only with photography, but life. The tragic loss of his daughter and what he endured would send most to an early grave. But he had the most positive outlook to start every day. Still miss chatting with Ken.
Fished with Ken many times. He was always ready to go on short notice. And as his IDO handle indicated, he loved fishing the river. It was fun to watch his interest in photography go from start up to professional quality in short order. If you ever spent any time in the boat with Ken, you know there was never that awkward quiet time where there was nothing to talk about.
Also miss other close IDO friends who are no longer with us. Dean “Dinosaur” Ross and Tim “Hooks” Hukriede. Two good guys I think of often. Meeting them both through this website has forever changed my life. All of you guys were called away way before your time.
Only got to spend one day with Ken in my boat. He drank all my beer, showed me over and over again how to catch fish and even questioned my boat control at one point. Got to love a guy that wasn’t affraid to be himself. Tight lines Ken. Gone to soon.
We all have fond memories of him. Mine is the photography that this man could put out. He went from a novice to a full fledged professional in front of all of our eyes. He never hesitated to share with us his love of catching (fish on a pole and nature in the camera lens). Rest easy Eyes. We all miss you .
