Would like more info on installing reflective insulation in flip over… Do’s/Dont’s, type (single, double bubble or ?) How to fasten it, etc Have an old (ancient, actually) and can’t swing a new one so want to try to insulate some. Any other products to consider? Thanks in advance

I have an Otter with the green canvas, used the reflectix to insulate it. It is super simple. Undo the Velcro around the poles that holds the canvas in place and then slip the reflectix between the poles and canvas. Cut a small slit in the reflectix to feed the Velcro back through. That is pretty much it. In mine I have it running from the back at the tub up and over down to the front pole hoop. I used some tape to hold it to the pole. Its been in my house now for 3 seasons and hasn’t moved a bit, still folds up with no problem. Makes a world of difference in the older uninsulated houses. No more frost and condensation either. The single layer of bubbles is plenty.

    How to fasten it, etc

I insulated just the roof panels using the “trap between the cover and poles” method and was not completely happy with that method. Used it one season that way and redid it before the next season.

The second time around, I removed the canvas from the sled. Then turned it inside out over a scarp piece of plywood (cut to size) on saw horses (much like an ironing board). Then I used spray on glue on the inside surface of the roof sections and glued the reflectix to the roof section.

Either way will work, I just preferred the glued in method myself.
