Just received my custom Thorne Bros Quiverstock. I’m looking for a light weight, inline reel. Any recommendations?

What will you be primarily fishing for? Deep or shallow water? Do you have a price in mind?

This will mainly be targeting gills and perch. Most of my fishing is in shallow water, usually under 10 feet. I do occasionally fish deeper stuff up to 20 feet.

I didn’t really have a price in mind. I’ll pay for light weight and quality.

I have an inline reel made by clam, it is extremely light weight and works great for the type of fishing you would be doing.

I don’t know if it is sold without a rod, but I sure like that Bro Series from Frabil. Push the button and the line the line is released, looks like a good one to me. I just don’t know how balanced it would be with the QS.

Does anyone know what TB rod compares to the TUCR Bullwhip?

Depending on price point, IMO, the best inline out there is the 13 fishing 6061. At a better price point, I also have the CGI on a lot of my panfish rods and have zero problems with it.

I ended up going with the CGI attached by silicone tape (rescue tape) and filled with 3lb Suffix Fluoro.

It seems to balance well. I actually have the 371, but I think the CGI will be a better fit for this rig.

Now we just need to get some ice and I can give her a try!
