reel for commander

    The commander is the last TUCR rod I need. Considering getting the 32 inch or the 34 inch split grip. What reel do you guys recommend I put on it? All my other rods have either Sedona’s in the 500 or 1000 series. I have a 2500 Sedona sitting in a box but not sure if its to big a reel for the rod or not. any thoughts?

    I really like 1000’s for the Commanders.

    That is my favorite.

    SEDONA 1000 = the perfect balance with the Commander. I put Powerpro braid on it for Lakers in Ely this past weekend and didn’t like it (too noisy and iced up easily). I’d recommend Suffix braid instead, my other setup performed much better because of it.

    I am running a Pflueger 20 series which is equivilent to the 500 series shimano and I love the set up but I like smaller reels on my rods

    I have a Quantum Accurist PT 15 on mine and it is absolutely perfect.
