I hear the Eyes are being pulled out of the spillway right now. Anyone been there and is it out of a boat?
    Thanks

Just one boat there this afternoon and about 2 dozen shore fisherman. Don’t know if anyone was catching anything.

I was down below the dam last Sunday 3/15. Saw one nice eye caught from shore, probably 18″. Only caught one little dink myself. There was alot of water last weekend, like 22000 coming out, made the break water tough to cast to. When are the slab crappies gonna turn on in the main lake?

The bluegill are hitting a little bit. Ive heard of people catching a few crappies here and there, but real slow. I figure about another couple weeks the slabs will be on.

I find the flow in the Des Moines Register. Metro section with the weather under Iowa Lakes. Today 3/28 Lake is 744.70ft, normal table is 742, dam letting out 2100cfs.
Hopefully this weather can shape up and stabilize so the lake and spillway can settle down. Anymore carppie reports off main lake? I wanna get the boat down there asap with stable weather.

FYI for all you guys and gals that are looking for outflow info. Here’s a link to a website that you can look up most of the flow info you’ll need. This is for Red Rock, but you can find other as well. Hope this helps.
