Redneck rod holders

Idea stemmed from lambeau’s setup on the WX1910 thread. Limited to whatever I had in the garage, except the ram mount.

Think it should work pretty good. Got extremely tired of untangling lines at night and swearing at the moon. Limited space on lil 14′. Need to put a couple stops on the top so rods dont fall out of boat, but excited to try it out!

Hmmmmm. I can see some variations of this idea that I might use. Thanks for the post.

I’ve used the pool noodles for a couple boat applications and the only downside that I found was that constant exposure allowed UV breakdown of the cellulose. Which I thought was odd seeing as how these are supposed to be outdoor toys. It did take a couple of season before they started dissolving.

I hear ya Dave. 5 screws and about 5 min of cutting new noodle can be on.
Kind of worried about freezing temps, but again, not an end all fix all. Should work for what I need it to.

These things have seen extensive usage now, cold weather, hot, kids, rain, snow, etc. and I got to say they absolutely kick A$$!!!

Not the prettiest thing I’ll admit, but man do they get the job done on keeping everything neat and untangled.

You know, driftmaster makes that same thing in a non redneck fashion for a reasonable price.

    Might be worth a look
