Just a short note to let everyone know that although the Red is still running near record lows, it looks if we will not have a water shortage this spring. We have more snow in the Fargo area than we have had for the last few years. The river is still running although it maybe only inches deep in a few areas.
I am ready for this #**%#ing winter to be over. I am tired of hibernating.
How many days to spring, Briank?

After the snow today I tossed my spring calculator…it’s out there in the snow somewhere. March 21st is the date…and it’s coming none to soon.

Hey! I thought walleyes didn’t make good bait!?

No, walleyes do not make good cut-bait for channels but you may want to try them for flatheads. The trouble with them is that they do not stay alive very long with a hook through them. Of course I have never tried that as we only have channels here on the Red.

    Brian Alas,
Photo evidence of the Artist formerly known as ICBC’s.
It looks like he was not ready when the picture was taken (his smile is not big enough) Also if you look close you can see the tie-died shirt under his jacket.
You can see the pride in his eyes, He can’t hide the happiness on his face, even his hands are shrinking…
