Red River report of 5-28-09

Seven fish tonight with the larget between 23 and 24 pounds. We landed 2 more over 15 pounds one more over ten and the rest smaller. Fish were holding along the fast water current breaks.

Very nice! I don’t think the cat I had on tonight (trolling cranks, too!!) was any 24 pounder, but he sure gave a good fight before popping the hook.

Nice job on those kitties…that’s a place I’d definitely love to fish sometime.

I was born in Grand Forks but only lived there for roughly 8 years. I still can remember the countless nights of fishing the Red. Always had a good time. My uncle still lives up there….might need to pay him a visit this summer
