    Probably a great trolling bite!

3 to 5 inches of the wet heavy stuff starting today into tomorrow hopefully not any more than that but not going to help.

Any more info or guesses how that first weekend is December is shaping up? I think the snow slowed the ice making, but probably still good enough to walk out or take a wheeler by Dec 6/7?

I’d say, especially since they’ve been doing it for over a week now lol

I’ll be going out of JR’s this Friday-Monday and will report back. When I spoke with Adam up there yesterday he said they might even have the skid houses out next weekend, but wheelers/sleds are already good. The north end up by Waskish is even thicker. You’ll be plenty fine by Dec 6/7

Thanks for the info. Thinking of going up that weekend, likely either out of Rogers or West Wind. Sounds like their sleepers may be on shore still but a chance they get pulled out

Have a buddy up on Red since saturday. 6 fish each day, nothing lights out. Don’t feel as bad for staying home and watching the Buckeyes Saturday.

Plan on heading up Wednesday. They have a winter storm warning out for around here Tuesday into Wednesday with anywhere from 3 to 14 inches depending which report you read. They always get over zealous when reporting the first storm of the year so I’m guessing we will get a few flurries. But you never know.

If the roads are crappy I’ll just stay home. Worst highway in the state can be hwy. 2 from Duluth to Grand Rapids if it’s crappy out.

The IDO crew went out of JRs with snowmobiles today. Should be an exciting show!
