Put the boat in at about 11:30 and fished until 3:30. Had higher winds than expected but still boated 20-25 fish for two guys. 1/8oz jig with shiner minnow in 5-7′ of water. Water temp was 63 with s sw wind at 15 for a good portion of the time. 8 fish we kept 16-18.5″ with the throw backs being smaller. Saw only about 8 other boats on the water.

Talked with my buddy that went out yesterday on Red and they boated 35+ fish in about 8 hours of fishing. Kept nice limit of fish for two. Conditions were about the same as we had except more of an easterly wind. Jig and minnow again was the ticket in 5-7′ in multiple locations.

    The fall bite is ON!

The fishing is still great up along the north shore. I brought John and Ann owners of Beacon Harbor out on the boat and landed our limit and then some. We kept enough for a fresh walleye, sweet corn and potatoes dinner. The wind wasn’t to bad and the bite was good. We were trolling flicker shads #4 & #5 in four to seven FOW.
