Wanted to reach out to the IDO community to see what people think about the Recon 5/+ cameras. I found it very nice for the hole hopping/structure search however once I get my hub set up I find it hard with that smaller cable to get the camera to settle down on its own and be able to get a shot on my jig. What are people doing to get a more stable view? Your responses are much appreciated!
Interested in what others have to say as well as I’ve been contemplating adding a 5+ to my kit this season.
The Marcum Wireless Remote Camera Panner works great for the camera cable management. You’ll notice a small 2-3″ clear piece of tubing that is attached to your Recon camera cable. That tubing is used to lock the camera cable into the panner docking system. I used this system for my Recon 5+ all of last year with no issues and will do exactly what you need and described above.
