Evidently stole a trailer, sheriff would like a name!
What a $hitbag! Those are good photos, so I’m sure someone will rat him out.
I hope the guy whose trailer he stole finds him first and gives him a beating before dragging his a$$ to the cops

I wouldn’t bet on it! I’ve seen this before, nobody wants to rat on his “buddy”, and probably justify their behavior by telling themselves insurance will buy him a new one anyway.
I remember 2-3 years ago, when a trail-cam picked up guys shooting grouse (I think) from the roadside. Clear pictures, yet crickets for responses.

Interesting that there’s a security camera mounted at Cove Bay Access there. Maybe its because there’s a DNR shed on site.
that would suck…what would you do if you came back to your truck and your trailer was gone? What a efn headache.
Hopefully that pic makes it to facebook.

This past spring I started a thread about locking your boat trailer/hitch in the parking lot while you are fishing because I had heard of horror stories about this very incident occurring. I received a lot of responses and most people indicated that they do in fact lock things up while they are fishing. I bought a keyed-alike set of locks from e-trailer this past spring for 60 bucks and I use them every time now.
The very thought of coming back to my truck without a trailer behind it would create a massive problem of epic proportions.
Looks like the guy with the white Dodge has the right idea by backing in to park.

Incorrect. Look it up, the grouse poachers were turned in and caught.
This is the one good thing to come of social media. The Book of Faces has led to many cases being solved that otherwise wouldn’t have been.

Good to hear, thank you for the update. I remember trying to look for follow-up information a month or so later, and couldn’t find anything.

It’s been all over FB since yesterday afternoon.
Maybe the trailer was blocking the guy from getting his rig out? Every time I have been to Cove people back in unless somebody gets there late. You can’t park on the road there so it ends up being a real poop show with trailers going every which direction. Has anybody looked in the brush or the swampy like creek there? Guy probably was pissed and just pushed it in there. Or, maybe he stole it IDK.

Should have them at every public access on that lake. Almost weekly people post that they were broken into/catalytic stolen/vandalized/etc. Especially the ones surrounding the casino.
Long time past IDOer Vandy had a number of plastic chairs stolen from his laundry mat a year or so ago. He captured the fella hauling them out on his security cam. I reposted it. Shortly after, I received a nasty message from some lady in Rochester for airing “dirt” on line for all to see. My reply was the only dirt I aired was of this guys face.
Couple days later the chairs were returned by the same guy.
Turns out that a neighbor in the apartment building he lived in saw the photo and told him he was about to become famous. (I had a lot of shares)
I’m sorry, but I don’t want any friends that steal trailers. On second thought No, I’m not sorry.
Especially the ones surrounding the casino.
Oh ya, Shah Bush Kung is notorious for having theft and vandalism problems.

According to the comments on the sheriffs post. It was recovered, abandoned on a back road.
