I was up last Monday-Wed. Weather was too good and the opening bite has slowed considerably. The fish seemed to be spread out already. Trolling cranks ((blue silver) or spinners with minnows in 4-7 fow was steady. Bite was significantly better in the afternoon. Nothing over 21″. We had a good time at West Wind resort. The channel out to the lake was 2.5 feet and our neighbor with a 621 Ranger was getting out and in although he did shine up his skeg.

we fished the Friday after the opener after the cold front had pushed through. Fishing started off good in the morning then things dramatically slowed down. Clouded back up and the fishing got good again. Fish were still on the first brake. We used the public access.

Nowhere near as good as the opener but we still did pretty good this afternoon, caught a good 50 fish for 2 of us from 1-7 PM. Went out of the Tamarack and fished the north side in 4-6′ of water. Jigs worked well until we ran out of bait. After that, we pulled #5 shad raps and picked up 6 in 45 min on them. Our biggest fish was a 19″. Sheephead are up there now too. (
