Just curious what all others here are binge watching on TV right now. I started watching the Game of Thrones prequel – House of Dragons. I just could not seem to get into it. I may circle back to it and see if it gets better a little further into the series. Right now I’m watching the Old Man. So far this is a GREAT series. I’m just finished with episode 3 and I think season 1 only has 7 episodes. Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow both do a excellent job of acting in it. It is a FX series that I believe you can stream on Hulu, Prime video, or ABC. Here is a short intro. of what it is about:
They should have left him alone.
Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Thomas Perry, The Old Man stars Jeff Bridges, John Lithgow and Amy Brenneman. The Old Man centers on Dan Chase (Jeff Bridges) who absconded from the CIA decades ago and has been living off the grid since. When an assassin arrives and tries to take Chase out, the old operative learns that to ensure his future he now must reconcile his past.

With sports and now hunting really starting to gear up, havent been watching much of anything. I have almost finished that Dahmer series on Netflix, but it is very disturbing. Not sure I will finish it or not. I think I only have a couple episodes left.

I thought about watching the Dahmer Series. I’m going to guess its not a real uplifting series to watch grin

Peaky Blinders is an awesome show on Netflix if you are looking for something. I’m with you on the new Game of Thrones series, we are watching it but it’s not nearly as good as the original series.

Agreed. I have finished it recently very good!
Also some ones that you may be interested in: Bosch (Prime), Goliath (Prime? — Has Billy Bob Thornton) — excellent. There is also a new Bosch spinoff that just came out, but the original I believe is done. Jack Ryan (Prime).

I wish I would of watch The Practice first before watching Boston Legal.

I don’t care for Wm Shatner, but he was great along with the rest of the cast.
Started the new season of The Black list. First three episodes normally catch me, this season isn’t going so well.

I don’t have any interest in Friday the 13 and all the Halloween series and Dahmer falls right into that group. More disturbing to know that it was real.

The Dahmer show was very disturbing but also very good with the acting. I almost didn’t make it past the first episode but friends told me I have to keep watching.

I also agree that the new House of Dragon show has been hard to get into. I’m up to date on it but its hard to follow with all the time jumps in it. I feel like I need to go rewatch it because after last nights episode im clueless on some things.

Im gonna have to check out the Old Man show. I love Jeff Bridges as an actor.

I was in the same boat as you. I was a couple episodes in and thought this just isnt for me, but then it got better.

How many cigarettes did they smoke in Beaky Blinders.

And I’d stay away from Arthur when he’s having a bad day.
    Just sayin

I’m not really a TV guy, but will find a show and watch an episode once or twice a week off the DVR once the kids and wife are in bed. Series I’ve watched in this way and would recommend:

    Yellowstone
    Animal Kingdom
    Law and Order Organized Crime

    Yes, both!
Love them both but actually like Shoresy better, even though it’s the spin-off. I REALLY hope they go for a second season but haven’t heard anything yet.

Nothing funnier than the back and forth between Shoresy and the High School hockey players when he’s reffing.

Just watched the first 2 episodes last night of Letterkenny. It has been a while since a show made me laugh and shake my head like that.

Yes, great shows! Also, like Peaky Blinders it’s much better with the subtitles on. Peaky because I don’t speak gypsy, and Shoresy/LK because the jokes are so rapid fire it’s tough to keep up!

Oh yeah, I have to have the subtitles on. Many times I think “What did he just say that?” I’ve watched them both a few times and will watch again. I’m always catching something I missed the last time. “Give yer balls a tug!”

100% dead on about the subtitles! Its also a good idea if you have young kids in the house because of all the language.

Exactly. I read somewhere it was estimated Thomas Shelby smoked over 3,000 cigarettes on screen. They were herbal cigarettes so a nicotine addiction didn’t happen.

I have to watch a lot of stuff with subtitles because the audio mix of most things now is complete garbage and you can only hear the voices if you also want to rattle your walls with the other sounds. It seems like Netflix must be using more auto-generated subtitles though because I’ve seen some recently, in a few different shows, that are really wrong.
