I am weighing out my options with the MX 2025 should I buy one I crank and rig and jig for walleyes on rivers, resovoirs and possibly the great lakes. or should I buy a WX 2060??

I don’t know if anyone can truly make that decision for you, but it is a huge stable platform to fish from. I have spent zero time in a 2060, so I can’t compare the two. Both have the same keel and very similar rod storage. All I can say is that the time I have spent driving and fishing out of a MX 2025 has never been frustrating. Which for me, allows more energy to be spent on the fishing part of the equation.

P.S. I think it goes without saying that you should really get some wheel time in both boats.

I guess I just wanted to hear some things like I love my 2060 because… I really like this on the 2025 but I would recommend adding boat buckles to the bow. or the in hull graph on the front makes no sense or makes some sense.

If the majority of your fishing is for walleyes, then the WX is a great option. I really like the 1910 and the 2190, they are both great rigs, worth looking into also!

The MX 2025 is what I run and I love the boat for the ride, storage and fishability. That said, if you’re targeting walleye and walleye only then the WX might be a better fit as that model is purpose built for fishing techniques used by walleye anglers – livebait rigging, vertical jigging and trolling. I chose the MX because I wanted to also be able to fish bass, muskie and pike in addition to walleye. These species are often best chased using casting presentations that benefit from a lower gunnel with easier access to the waterline when working baits boatside and releasing fish. The MX 2025 also has a larger rear casting platform with the optional deck extension which really turns the back of the MX 2025 into a fantastic working space. The 2025 handles big water very well but has the versatility to chase the other species I enjoy fishing for without compromising my ability to fish walleye trolling or jigging.

The best advice offered so far still is for you to test drive both rigs. You’ll know which boat is right for you after you ride in them both. I’d also recommend looking at the 2190. It is the best riding big water boat I’ve ever been in and the cost difference between the 2060 and 2190 is actually fairly minimal from what I’ve seen.
