Rear live well switch

I have an older 619 (2006). The rear live well has a 3 position switch. Man/off/timer. The Man position has never worked so I could only fill it by timer. So I replaced the switch. They didn’t have the exact but had one they said replaced it. I hook it up the same wires. The Manual position still does work but now I have a Light on all the time. Man/off/timer. Timer position still works. Could this be the pump itself? Puzzled.

    Thanks

Confused by what you wrote. “Does work” or did you mean to say “does not work”?
I would guess the switch is not wired correctly, if it is light up when in the “off” position

Sorry. Still does not work. But I have a led light in switch that is on all the time now

Might be the timer itself. Check to see how it’s wired. Maybe wrong from day one.

This is where I would start. If the light is on when the pump is not turned on there almost has to be a wire connected to the wrong point or a ground not connected. If the light is full brightness I would start looking at the hot wires, if the light is a little dimmer than normal I’d look for a ground issue.

your switch probably was wired wrong from the factory if manual has never worked.
The switch has nothing to do with the timer. A wire brake down would help with figuring out you switch.
