I got the plot turned and the blind set up. I did not leave the decoys out. I am all ready to hit the turkey woods Wednesday afternoon after work.

I will be leaving Hayward Tuesday early afternoon to head to MN! Gonna try and roost the birds and then set the blind up in the dark. I forgot what a turkey looks like after living in northern Wisconsin….

Saw a flock of about 10 birds in some corn stubble yesterday on the way to my property. 3 toms were puffed up strutting. Here we go.

But I didn’t hear a sound up at my place. Hopefully they will start breaking up from the wintering areas this week. They are all still concentrated next to the cattle in my area, that’s how they spend the whole winter so currently there are a whole bunch of birds running around in the middle of a herd of 400 cattle.

Wednesday can’t come fast enough. I pulled out the old 20 guage that I havent harvested a critter with in about 25 years or so. I had it all ready for turkeys two years ago just didn’t take out. This spring i’m using it and hope to knock an old thunderchicken down.

Sticker , looks good add another notch to that bow. )

Currently trying to roost birds for the morning! They are awfully quiet tonight. Waiting until dark to go put the blind up.
