I am re-screening my patio door. I removed the flat spline that was holding it in and am looking for replacement spline. The groove for the spline is 3/8” wide. I figure that is the size spline needed, but I am unsure. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Bring it to most any hardware store and match it up. If doing it yourself, they make a spline roller thT will make the job much easier

And be careful trimming the excess with a razor knife…..don’t ask me why I know that.

Definitely get the roller if you are doing it yourself. But be careful if you press down too hard while you roll you could cut the screen with the roller. That was my first job at Ace Hardware as a 15 year old. It’s an easy job once you get the hang of it.

I’d also recommend cutting a spreader bar for the center of the screen frame so it doesn’t bow inwards and hour glass if you pull the screen too tight.
