The fishing has been GREAT up to just the other day when they open the spillway to MAX flow! Was there Saturday and only saw about 6 keepers. Same thing with Red Rock, opened the gates a couple days ago and the fishing has gone down the tubes.

Yes the spillway was where we fished. Find the slack water breaks

Head first or tail first??? I was down for a while yesterday afternoon…a lot of little fish. snagged a couple bigger ones. It’s amazing the comments you get for returning a foul hooked fish to the water!! Some just don’t get “it”.

    Congrats on the 5er.

    What’s the outlet flow doing?

Find the seams, they move a bit with water levels, and let it fall and fall then reel real sloooooooow. Plan on losing some jigs near the bank but you will be rewarded.
I’m going to have to pull some strings but I hope to be there Friday sometime.

I think it is still 1500…hopefully they drop it to 600 this week so they can shock it again. No need sending fish to MO.

Can’t have fish in the river if you don’t have fish in the lake…just my opinion of course.

talked to the fisherys down there this morning and they dropped it to 800 today, and they are planning on shocking this week. Also said the females in the nets are not ripe yet. the 5er was face first, I didnt even see any foul hooked monday night… kinda nice for a change. Well I might head down tonight.

“north” side of spillway. Pull down toward the circle parking lot “east” of the crapper house.

Just hope they don’t drop the water level while you are downstream or you’ll be on the river!

Has anyone worked any holes downstream of the spillway with a boat? Guess I’m just kinda thinking out loud.
