I have a 92 681c and just bought a 2001 johnson 8hp 4 stroke for it. Whats the best way to mount it? clamp it on the transom…or put it on a kicker bracket?

i jave a 98 692 fisherman and the original owner put the kicker on the transom by clamping it on…. dont do it. over the years of bouncing around it punched holes in the glass…. buy the bolt on transom mount (panther makes a nice one)and then hang it on that!
