I just upgraded from an ’04 620 to a ’10 620. The transoms are completely different, and I need some direction on how to mount an external transducer for a Lowrance. The previous owner only had glassed in transducers, and a SI Transducer mounted up high for when the boat was sitting down in the water off plane; too high for a regular high speeed. Anyone have a photo of a good place to mount a regular high speed transducer on a similar transom?

Just curious, is there a reason why you wouldn’t want the thru hull transducer.
my 08 has one and I’ll never go back.
If you plan to use a LLS-1 or 2, these hulls have the perfect place for them right in front of motor on recessed portion of hull (don’t know what you call that)

just my$.02, but if my Lowrance thru hull transducer ever goes bad, I’m going to one of the brass ones (again, can’t recall manufacturer name).
    That’s if I don’t upgrade to a new 620 1st.

Probabaly not much help with your question
    congrats on the upgrade though

I am using my old LCX’s for the time being; until I decide which direction to go in the future. Have you glassed/epoxied your own in? What is the process? Thanks.

Anybody have the picture of a transducer mounted on a 2010 or newer?
