Transducer location on 619

If you aren’t needing it to read at running speed, mount it high enough on the transom that it won’t be in the water when running. I wouldn’t worry about affecting water flow to the motor unless you plan to mount it right in front of the motor. I have my 2D ducer glassed in, but my down/side scan one is on the transom off to one side, above the water at running speed. No issues. You can also mount it under the step on the bottom of the hull if there is enough room.

this is what I did… and when installed go into the menue and switch the direction your side scan… good to go !!

Thanks guys. Mine is just the downscan only. Similar to normal skimmer type, only bigger. 3 in long by 2 in wide. Spoke with Lowrance and they recommend on transom for best sensitivity. That is the way I am going to go. Thanks again, Jim

Depends on what you want a picture of. If it is a step mount, I can’t. Mine is just a standard transom mount. The step on my Stratos isn’t big enough to get the ducer on the step or that’s where it would have been.

I am going to mount on transom. Again lowrance said it would read better here than in the hull. Jim

I will throw a picture up. I am on the road for work but will be home tonight and will try to get a picture up for you. If I get home late, I will post one tomorrow.

I ended up mounting it on the lower right side by the drain plus area. I am reading depth at 55 mph and the downscan screen keeps up with the bottom change. Very happy with the Elite so far. Thanks for the input John. Jim
