Does anyone have any info on adding a Shark II Hydrofoil to a 200 HP motor. I put one on my 135HP and got a lot better (amazing) gas mileage. I was just wondering if this would have the same affect on my 200HP.

I would suspect your 135 wasn’t enough power for your boat size, by adding the hydrofoil it was able to plane sooner causing less work on the motor and in turn less fuel consumption. A 200 shouldn’t need one. Run it without and you will be suprised how much bow smack they create. I was over proped on my boat and used one to compensate the loss of power. Finally reproped and eliminated the hydrofoil and was amazed at how much that thing actually wanted to slam the bow back down. My boat went from feeling like an old pickup bouncing through a plowed cornfield to a caddy on the highway in the same wave conditions! Skipped through the waves rather than slamming through them
