livewell cable

    own a 2005 vx185 and was wondering how difficult it would be to change or get access to my livewell cable because when i turn the lever it seems very easy to move and cannot empty livewells so it must be stuck in closed position any info on this matter would be appreciated

    Just fixed one on my Skeeter and it was an easy fix…just remove the old valve assembly (in the bilge area) and replaced it with the exact same valve, works great. Just 2 hose clamps and a single screw (holds the cable to the valve).

    thanks i will give a shot just hope its not ob the lever end by the console and was wondering if this is a dealer item or universal

    iF you have to pull the cable make sure that you hook a line on the end that way it will be easier to pull cable back thru
