I’m thinking about a new boat. Been fishing mostly Mille Lacs. Wondering if Ranger, or any other of the top boat builders for that matter, are planning to come out with a boat with no live well so there can just be more and better storage.

Depending on how the MLF formats work this may or may not come true

I’ve used my live well for a garbage can for years.

I’m guessing sarcasm because I assumed everyone knew they could use one of their live wells for storage? So you can’t trailer your rig a half hour and fish other nearby lakes to keep walleye?

I know this post was mostly for fun but honestly if a boat manufacturer made a livewell that had a removable insert that held plano boxes or just turned it into dry storage that would be a huge plus in my book. Livewells aren’t the driest or cleanest for most types of storage for the possibilities of that area. Right now I just use mine as a garbage can.

I just want a livewell that drains good, seems like they all like to hold about a quarter inch of water. My 2005 alumacraft is the best ive had for draining the water. Old boat kept an inch in there. Had to sponge it out all the time…
