I’m looking for a range finder for coyote hunting. What should I buy ?

At least get one that is rated for double your anticipated shooting distance. The reflective properties of brush and small targets can get a little tricky for consistent results. My Nikon 550 are pretty good to about 200ish on coyote. My Athlon 1200 is good to about 500ish

I really like my Nikon Prostaff 7i. I haven’t used it for over 350 yards, but it worked good up to that distance.

Have to agree with Randy my Nikon 1200 is about the same. I have ranged a bigger Fox at 385yds it was on the move in a clean snow covered field. I think the biggest problem with range is keeping on target when it is moving at distance.
