Send help! Out of garrisons on the north end of 3 mile, not sure how we’ll survive the night…
That’s pretty early to run out. Some serious miscalculation there.
Well we did get up here thur am. Still have half a bottle of 4 roses and some Tennessee fire. Just no beer!
you could do like my dad did once when mom refused to bring him any more booze home from work,he called a taxi and had it delivered, man was she pizzed off !!
the taxi bill was as much as two fifths of bourbon back then.
I have no words for that type of miscalculation.
X2
Despicable. You call yourselves ice fishermen!
You put all fishermen in a very poor light. I am deeply saddened. I may have to start drinking myself.

well I know who i’m never going fishing with!!!!!!!!
Lol we made due. Proud to say the whiskey bottles are empty.
Didn’t help that the first night we gave a bunch away to our neighbors!
Fish on?
You can always bring home what you don’t drink. Like ordering concrete would rather have a yard to much than be a wheelbarrow short.

Yep, I always bring twice what I think I’ll need.
I’d rather be bringing some home rather than come up short, but what usually ends up happening is I end up drinking twice what I think I’ll need.
What was the bigger gaffe – not bringing enough beer or admitting it on here (Mille Lacs thread no less)?

Dis! Sound advise.
22 posts down the line and I’m going to be the 1st stick in the mud. I know this is all tounge in cheek joking around but sometimes it surprises me how many guys can’t go fishing without drinking being a big part of the day.
I’m a crappy enough fisherman that I need all my senses tuned up to have a snowball’s chance of catching anything! Realize I’m different than many, but my drinking is usually a drink or 2 (if that) with supper at the end of a day on the lake or in the woods.
Ok, carry on you drunkards.
Note to self: Never take Curleytail ice fishing
I’m kidding too of course.
There’s a time and place for heavy drinking on the ice. The trip Crappieguy was on is one of them. Fishing buddies renting a sleeper or staying in a wheelhouse = a good time and lots of beer
If you’re hopping around in a portable, fishing hard, or taking the family fishing, getting drunk should be pretty low on the list.

Lol right. If you wanted to whoop it up and have me bring my share of beer and yours too, I might not be your guy. My uncle and I took a trip to Red this year and didn’t even bring any form of alcohol with us. By the way, that was a bad idea as we found out a 6 pack of Redds up there was about $11.50 after we had a craving for a drink to go with our fish dinner.
I get it though – holed up in a shack with a few good buddies and the fish aren’t biting? What else is there to do besides down some booze and solve the world’s problems?
Only thing worse then running out of beer is when every one runs out of chew…and that usually stems from some moron thinking they quit but leaches off everyone until it’s all gone. Lol.

It shouldn’t be on the list at all.
Settled in a sleeper house for the night, I don’t hold back much…love knocking back beers in that cozy dwelling.
Still I never get to the point of total dysfunction. Still gotta maintain yourself. And be willing and able to get up for that 2:30 am rattle reel fish. Could be the 30″er?
