Looking to head to fish Rainy the last day on Friday. We always fish the MN side but would like to fish the Canadian side just wondering if anyone could help me out in understanding what I need to be legal over there? Found information on needing RBAC and i68 form along with Canadian fishing license. Fishing plastics so not concerned about bait. Any help would be appreciated.

No alcohol in your boat, even empty can in the garbage.

You also need to have a bailing bucket, flashlight, and a whistle, among other things. Many local places up there sell a little bucket that has everything you are required to have in the bucket. If you buy the little pre-packed bucket, make sure you buy a couple batteries for the flashlight.

You can not drink alcohol in public in Canada. Technically, you can not even possess it in your boat except for transport to a destination. (Although most wardens may overlook a couple cold ones in the cooler for shorelunch, you would be in violation). If the OPP or border patrol is with the warden(common on the river), expect stricter enforcement.
