Rainy River for opener?

    Anyone on here fish the Rainy River for Opener? Wondering what to expect. After such a good spring run we have always talked about going back for opener.

    Not sure how many lake fish will be out east by then. Sure is intriguing though. It’s crazy how far and fast those fish move after spawning in all river systems.

    Always hear great reports of numbers and size from baudette to the lake each opener.

    Yup. Most yrs we don’t make it to the lake. There is usually good fishing to be had still.
