Yay for Us!!!!
We get our second (remdeming) trip to Rainy Lake this year. We went in mid May the first time, set up camp on Monday and tore down camp on Tuesday due to an incoming 3 day massive storm.
Soo… we are back on the hunt.
Only once have we fished in the fall and it was a flop due to a cold front.
Well the weather looks to absolutly beautiful for next week. So I really hope I can not blame the weather for lack of fish.
I have been seeing guides post a lot of monster walleye as of the past few weeks. Are those all coming from the Canadian Side or can we locate some big eyes on the MN side? ‘
We are stay east of the Brule on Nelson Island not far from most of the main reefs.
Any suggestions other than a jig and a minnow over top of the reefs?
Would love to have a great trip with a few big eyes.
Will come back and post our successes!
