Made one last fall trip to Rainy Lake this weekend ( North Arm).
Caught tons of walleyes but very few that fit the slot.
Lots of Bass too and my first ever…..

That’s a good one. Nice work! We very rarely catch saugers that are of keepable size let alone like that on the lake. Curious what kind of structure you found the walleyes? We’ve been mostly fishing the river lately.

Love those saugers with the custom paint jobs, especially dark ones out of Rainy like that!

Caught this one trolling around an island in about 15 FOW using this.
The rest of the fish all came from 29-31 FOW on underwater reefs in the main lake channel areas. Nothing but the rock ledges for structure. fishing the windward side with 3/8 ounce jigs and minnows. They loved the blue and white and pink and white colors

That wasn’t in Saginaw Bay by chance? I know our group made a fairly sizeable donation one year due to some…floatation issues….
