I’m no radon expert, what’s with the claims that it’s a giant scam ? I’d like to hear the reasoning.
The quick reading I seen from some scientific group said it’s wildly misrepresented in health care but that’s all I had time to read.

A lot of it I believe has to do with it being completely invisible, so people don’t see the benefit. Also people say “it was never an issue 30 years ago”, well homes are now significantly more air tight than they were 30 years ago, which hold the radon in your home. Also $1750 feels like a ton of money for many when its just some sticks of PVC and an inline fan.

I’m no expert either BC but my plumber friend(who installs the Radon system) claims it is only an issue if you spend most of your life in your basement. Radon is heavy and sinks to the lowest spot in your house. That is why it is usually plumbed out of your sump barrel. Just what I’ve been told.
