I really enjoyed all the “bits” that KQ would do… the old Chucker in the playhouse phone calls of supposed celeb’s… then the bed time stories with uncle burnsie & the cash call bits & phony dmv/dnr calls !

peace yep same here……think they got there teet in a ringer for doing it eventually.

yea i grew up with cco in the morning to as a kid!!!!!

i heard they dumped Zep at KQ…..Glenn not happy!!!!!

They did? That sucks. He had a great voice/presence. I really can’t stand Steve Gorman, the guy is so full of himself it’s insane.

I gave KQ another try today and couldn’t believe it. I listened maybe 30 min yesterday which basically gets you 4-5 songs with commercials. Heard at least 3 of the EXACT SAME songs today when I listened for another 30 min!

KQ is still KQ – they just moved their rock genre ahead 10-years. Just plain GARBAGE.

It sounds just like KQ out of Duluth. The same 40 songs and the same car dealerships ads. As a special treat you get live remotes on Saturdays from said dealerships.

Anybody remember Beaker Street from the mighty 1090, KAAY in Little Rock? You can still heard Clyde on Friday nights over the Internet at arkansasrocks.com

For my taste in music by far the best radio ever. AM, scratchy, fad in and out but still the best for “discovering” rock outside the mainstream.

When fishing LOW can only get a few stations and I’m not listening to NPR/MPR. 92.5 out of Thief River Falls is country and Saturday mornings has Wheeler Dealer where businesses have deals/coupons that people can call in to get.

    Saturday mornings has Wheeler Dealer

Wheeler Dealer is just absolute classic radio! Most of the callers have an accent straight out of Northern MN central casting, and there was an epic morning on the Rainy one time where they sold out of “da pair of choppers” but people kept calling for them that makes me laugh still today.

DJ: “NOOOO Morrreeee choppers folks, all soldout! Next caller please”
Next caller “Yahhey ya got anymore of dem choppers?” rotflol

Turned on KQ this morning on the way to work, Depeche Mode was playing. Guess I’ll have a new spot on the presets available.

I have been listening to the GOAT out of St. Cloud once it was recommended on this thread. It is amazing! Also, it was easy to stream on my phone.

Yeah dude! The GOAT is the GOAT! I feel like I was born 20 years too late. I wish I would’ve grown up in the vinyl era.

Thunderlund, the GOAT was an awesome recommendation. It is now my go-to station.

Listening now while getting some things done around the house. If you hear Foghat on any other radio station, it’s gonna be Slow Ride – a song that’s so overplayed I couldn’t care less if I ever heard again. But right now, the GOAT is playing Stone Blue – which is an UNREAL tune, but probably not “radio-friendly”. You’re not going to hear that song on any radio station, ever. I’ve discovered so much more quality music from the Vinyl era rock bands though this station. It’s made me dive deeper via Spotify, on bands I would’ve otherwise written off as overplayed KQ bands that were before my time.
