quickflip 3 shelter questions

I’ve found a Eskimo Quickflip 3 for sale. It’s around 3 years old, the guy says it’s never been used and he’s asking 175. I thought that sounded like a sweet price so I’m going to take a look at it this next week. It’s a 3 man flip style shelter, looks pretty promising. I just have a few questions that also are my concerns, if anyone can help out that would be great.

He says it’s around 70 lbs, I wonder how much gear it will hold? (I’ve never owned or used a flip style shelter) and I do not have a snow mobile to pull it so I’d be pulling with my two human powered legs )

It does have a ski’s on the bottom of the sled so I wonder how much that will help with the difficulty of pulling?

It is a three man tent so it’s a little bigger than what I need for when I go by myself but at the price and if everything checks out on the quality I’m tempted to give the man my money. Any suggestions or reviews on these would be appreciated! Thanks!

I actually have the same ice house and it has been a great house. It is kind of a pain to drag through a lot of snow if you have to walk far. I can usually fit my auger, vexilar, heater, 5 gallon bucket with rods and reels, also minnow bucket and other small things. The windows on mine did crack this year but it is an easy replacement. they hold heat pretty well and i have used it alone and the space is really nice. you can stand up in it as well to stretch. and one last thing the skis do help a ton! waytogo

I was going to say that his estimate of 70lbs was a bit off…I would think 100+ would be closer..

If it has the bench seat in it, it will weigh more like 110 lbs. If there is no seating it would be closer to the 70 lbs. Good fabric, poor poles compared to others, also the tub is thinner than say otter.

If the tub and fabric are in good shape and it has the bench seat that is a good price, but it will be heavy to pull by hand.

I bought a quickflip 2 from Mudshark last winter and I love mostly everything about it except pulling it through deeper snow. 72 pounds seems quite light though for a 3 man, I’d say mine weighs more than that.
