Was out from 2-5 today. Dead sea for me. Rigged crawlers in 12 to 30 ft. Nuthin. Pulled cranks in 14 to 28. Nuthin.
Did catch a couple of decent smallies pitching tubes shallow on rip rap. Saw Jesse Krook heading out. Hopefully he will have a better report. Water temps are 75 to 77 on the surface

Friends and I were out on the St. Croix yesterday as well. The weather was fantastic, but the fishing was dead, as you said. I’m the only one who caught a fish the entire day! I caught a little smallie on a pink maribou jig (one of my favorite jigs). We were mostly in pursuit of muskies, which I’ve not fished for before. I’ve actually never been in a boat while someone is pulling in a muskie so I was looking forward to grabbing the net when needed. Perhaps next time.

It’s been a very tough go for us on league night, Guys are catching fish though. Pulling cranks, rigging and pitching. Crank bite with lead line should start picking up here very soon.
