Quick & easy rod storage

Hey guys and gals, apologies if this is supposed to be in a different forum but just wanted to give a quick hack for rod storage I found on the Facebook. I don’t have a garage or shop yet, (hell, barely even have a house!) so for now I’m mostly relegated to a 40′ shipping container and space is limited. I wanted to keep the rods off the shelving I built and somewhere high to keep them safe, without putting holes in the container. I just bought a sheet of lattice from Menards Bargain bin for $15 I believe, cut it in quarters, screwed a 1×4 to the top and got an 18″ bar magnet from Harbor Freight($5) and stuck it to the ceiling. The lattice keeps the rods and reels separated nicely to prevent tangles.
    Hope this helps!

I just grabbed some scrap wood from work to store my really long trolling rods on the ceiling. I just wish the 2X10’s weren’t cedar. That was a bummer to drill the holes in. That lattice would hold a lot of rods though. I would really need to step my equipment game to fill that. doah
