Quick Battery Question

This may be a stupid question, but can someone tell me if I am supposed to pry this battery open to add distilled water or not? It doesn’t have the obvious caps like most do to add water, but also doesn’t say sealed or maintenance free or anything either.

I would say no. looks maintenance free to me.

I don’t think so, seems pretty smooth. That would also be really strange to make it like that.

Would those holes on each end be considered vents? Does that tell me anything? If you are supposed to pry up that whole end of the battery to add water they sure didn’t make it obvious.

All mine have a sticker like that on top of counter sunk vent caps. It says in text on the sticker that you have to pull off the sticker to check the water. Reminds me that I need to check the batteries!

Interesting.. mine doesn’t say anything about removing the sticker or needing to check water level. It does say “do not open battery”.

Pull up the sticker and look min have flush screw out caps wrecked a battery because of this, did not think of pulling off the sticker to check water.

Like I said, feel the label usually you can feel the caps if it has them. If not then I would say there no access. It may be strange to make them like that but that’s how some of them are

You were right, thanks! I’ll make sure not to buy one like this again, the caps are a pain to get out.
