Question about buying a new wheel house

I’ve been thinking about possibly buying a wheel house next year. Being from Nebraska I don’t know anyone that has one and there are no dealers in the state that carry them so I figured I’d ask some of you guys up north.

My question is do the dealers come off the advertised price at all like when you’re buying a car/truck or is it pretty much you pay what’s on the sticker?

They should work with you on price. I’ve bought two over the last 5 years (Yetti and Ice Castle) and did not pay sticker on either one. The wheelhouse market is pretty competitive these days.

I would definitely recommend looking used, might find a good deal on a couple years old, then you can figure how you want things layed out and in a few years you will know exactly what you want and the one you have probably won’t even loose any value.

Thanks guys, that helps. I agree, used wouldn’t be a bad idea considering where I live I don’t know if it would be worth it to buy new anyway. I’d only be able to use it a couple times a year when I go up north so I’d try to find something with a shower and toilet so I could use it for camping in the off season…..

Thanks Clint but I’m not going to be buying anything until this winter at the earliest but that looks like a nice rig!

If using for summer camping use I would highly recommend an RV edition wheel house. They have plumbing and other amenities for summer camping and are still great out on the ice. Many rival camping only RVs that are not intended for winter use or for ice fishing out of. With the crappy ice this year and my schedule I used my fish house more for camping, 5 times, this last summer and fall.
