    Wondering if anyone else has their pooch on a prescription diet. Due to food allergies, we had to put Ruger on a a recommended Purina DRM diet at nearly $100 per 25# bag. Anyone have a better source???

    $4 a pound….ouch….shoot a few extra deer and go raw meat diet?

    What are they allergic too? I am not a vet or expert but strongly suspect that “prescription” pet food is mostly a racket after dealing with it for our cat. If there isn’t some kind of medicine/drug in it (wasn’t in our case) then carefully looking at nutritional info and ingredients might allow you to find an alternative.
