Has anyone been having luck pulling cranks in pool 4? Hunting about taking the wife out this weekend and I am trying to come up with a plan.

Tried 3-waying cranks with limited success this spring, but it can work. IMO, we are a couple weeks away from a good crank bite really kicking off there. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes.

Were you closer to the dam or closer to Lake City? You don’t need to give me your exact spot but I’ve been contimplating between the two.

pulling cranks was real slow today! maybe it was the strong wind. got 15 nice walleye today but really had to work at it

Not going to make it out. Just changed my drivers license from IL to MN and I guess I need to contact the DNR before I get a new fishing license… and they are only open Monday thru Friday. Bummer, I had to boat all ready to go and was excited to get out for the first time of the year. Now shooting for 29th and 30th to get out. Maybe the crank bite will be heating up by then.

    Tight lines!

    In a pinch you could’ve bought a 1 day or 3 day non-resident license.

Yeah, I thought about that too. My wife wanted to go see her horses before she headed back to Florida so I kinda caved on that end too.
