Public Shout Out

Thanks to the three gentlemen who helped get us loaded up on Saturday night from the 494 launch. The ramps were slick and our 4WD wasn’t in working order, putting us in a tight spot.

    Important lessons:

    – Pay it forward. Not every ramp can be like Evert’s this time of year. You don’t know when you’ll get stuck.
    – Keep a tow strap in your vehicle.

I also carry a few gallon jugs with a sand and salt mix.

Glad to hear you got out safely.

That was Brian that pulled you out and he is always more than happy to help.. The bite was great if you were fishing for ice chunks :).. We pulled a limit of that ice and headed in when we seen you guys fighting with the launch. It was a good time to leave. We did not get down till dark and honestly you could not fish! maybe right behind the boat but even that was a trick at times.

Ditto on the ice chunks. We spent as much time driving in circles to clear ice out as we did fishing. It got to be too much and we hung it up.
