New to the area, and wondering if the public ground around the quad cities on the Iowa side is worth hunting or not? Does it get beat up? Are you better off to pay the money and try to lease a private farm? Considering the area from Maquoketa to Iowa City to Muscatine….. Thanks for any input.
I’m guessing with Iowa anything is good do your homework start early and think outside the box. We own land in southeast mn

I agree with Matt concerning the public lands. Heck the evidence from last falls rut is still there. Get out on foot and put on some miles looking for scraps n’ rubs along with you may find a shed or two! If those public lands hold deer you’ll still be able to see what they left behind so you’ll know for this Fall if it would be worth an effort. Good luck! (maybe even hang a camera or two…)
