I wonder how much time and money they spent on that study just to get a collective response of we don’t care.

common sense tells me it is NOT the meat that causes cancer, its all of the garbage that is pumped into the animal to make it grow five times faster than normal, and then all of the preservatives that they put in the meat so it can sit on a shelf,in a can,or in a freezer for six eternities, and this goes for most foods these days.
shoot, they cant even make up their mind whether or not eggs are good for you, remember that?,or salt?

ask a mortician how many embalming fluids they use these days, they will tell you less than half of what was used just thirty years ago,and its not to due to improvements in the embalming fluid!!! we are eating that many preservatives these days!!

“Ingredients: pork shoulder meat, with ham meat added, salt, water, modified potato starch as a binder, sugar, and sodium nitrite as a preservative. Natural gelatin forms during cooking in its tins on the production line.”

    “What is sodium nitrite?
Sodium nitrite is a salt and an anti-oxidant that is used to cure meats like ham, bacon and hot dogs. Sodium nitrite serves a vital public health function: it blocks the growth of botulism-causing bacteria and prevents spoilage. Sodium nitrite also gives cured meats their characteristic color and flavor. Also, USDA-sponsored research indicates that sodium nitrite can help prevent the growth of Listeria monocytogenes, an environmental bacterium that can cause illness in some at-risk populations.

Are cured meats the major source of sodium nitrite?
The amount of nitrate in some vegetables can be very high. Spinach, for example, may contain 500 to 1900 parts per million of sodium nitrate. Less than five percent of daily sodium nitrite intake comes from cured meats. Nearly 93 percent of sodium nitrite comes from leafy vegetables & tubers and our own saliva.”

Moderation and variety is the key. If not then there’s nothing you can do about it anyways.

It’s even worse than that. The WHO did not even do a study. They spent millions of dollars arriving at this proclamation by reviewing other hand-picked studies. It is literally a study of studies and from that they arrived at this very final and definite sounding pronouncement.

Just another BS political move backed by those who want to veganize the world.

    Beef! It’s what’s for dinner.

Careful here BK. They’ll be saying next that spam is a major cause of chronic constipation just based on wording.

If that’s the case Tom, we’ll have to get a mathematician involved.

They are good at working it out with a pencil.
