    Octoberfest beers were traditionally brewed in march before the breweries shutdown over summer. The style (Marzen) was brewed a bit stronger, in part to help it keep for an extended period. The beer was served during Octoberfest to use up remaining reserves

    Modern american fest beers are not brewed in march, often they are lagers.

    Somewhat recently I finally found a beer that I can drink regularly and doesn’t break the bank(so-to-speak). Good ol PABST!
