For wet, muddy, sandy days on the water am thinking of putting in a protective liner over the boat carpet in the cockpit. Easy to take out and hose off. Not sure if I just buy carpet runners to put over main areas, or find something I can cut to size to cover it all. What are other people using?
I use a cheap set of car floor mats. Not perfect, but works great. Hose them off for reuse…throw them away if they get damaged.
I would find the largest padded floor mat. Then install button snaps for easy attaching and removing.

Make sure to find one that can get wet obviously. The one in the link is not intended to get wet.
Any size outdoor entryway mat. Could us several small door ones to large entryway/RV models cut to fit $5-$25 there are a pile of models at the HD. Made to be wet, trap dirt, just heavy enough not to fly away. Take it out and spray off or shake out in the water and put back in. They’re already made for this.
