What are your favorite lures for propwash trolling?
    What is your favorite speed?

Banana style baits tail dancers, river rockers, and wally divers. Speed start at 2.5 and go up until you find what the fish want. So many great lakes with in a hour or hour and a half of Mankato. I don’t think we should be talking about this though

Grandmas, Jake’s, large cranks, and heavy bent arm spinners. Usually 2-4 mph. I enjoy trolling bent spinners fast over tall standing weedbeds close to shore. Cranks typically over 10 to 15ft on edges of weedlines. That strike on propwash rods is unforgettable. I like holding and pumping rods. Pulling weighted Bobby baits and suicks is often productive and not many do this in the propwash. I hardly go strait with warm water more turns the better. As water cools I tend to troll straiter.

Thanks guys. I’ve got probably over 200 ski lures and no clue what 90% of them are called let alone how to use them productivly. I get bored casting quickly and have heard propwash trolling can be effective. Hopefully the boat is out of the shop today and i can get out and give it a try.

Had a lightbulb moment saturday morning.
I have some Lake Troll Rigs that i have always WANTED to catch something. D
So i took one of those and put 6 ounces in front of it and 6 behind it and ran it right behind the boat. No hooks on that rod.
Then i ran a second rod either on the inside or outside and a few feet behind that lake troll rig.

Probably looked illegial as heck running two rods with 1 guy and i’m surprised the sheriff didn’t give me a visit (They were on the lake) but i don’t think it is illegial. DOesn’t seem any different than running a 7 rig alabama rig with only one hook.

Figured those blades should ‘call em in’ and right behind them blades is a delicious looking bait for a musky to chew on!

Didn’t spend more than an hour trolling as my motor was running like crap. Back to the shop. Will give it an honest effort another day.
