Does’nt look like they want non-residents to hunt their state.

I doubt it will drop the demand much.

That’s about the limit I’d spend on an Elk tag, but I just have such a hard time spending over $700+ on a deer tag. I love mule deer as much as the next guy but man is that a tough pill to swallow.

I’d rather burn (much less) money on a cow elk tag.

    Full draw

The general bull tag units have extremely low success rates so to very low elk densities.
I was trying to build points for a La Sal bull tag before I gave up a couple years ago. Couldn’t catch up to the point creep. Now it’s going to be a $3700 tag plus buying a hunting license every 2 years to put your app in till you get enough points to draw.
I was also building points for the Book Cliffs limited entry and couldn’t catch up to the point creep. Now that is a $1340 tag plus all the nonresident general hunting licenses fees every 2 years till you draw.

Lowest app fee in the game though. $10 per animal plus the general hunting licenses fees every every 2 years. Or at least it used to be anyway.
