Hi guys, this is a great site, thanks for letting me join. I’m setting up my new ice shack with a small propane heater (nu-way 16,000 btu) and a Camp Chef cook stove. I would like to run both off of a 20 pound tank. Here’s my question…can I run both off the same regulator as in, tank > regulator > splitter hose > appliances. Or do I need two regulators
as in, tank > splitter hose > regulator > appliance? If anybody has any thoughts, I sure would appreciate it!
    Thanks!

You should have plenty of gas to run both off of one regulator. I would run copper inside the house with flared fitting. Maybe in install valves so you can isolate each appliance separate.

Check the pressure requirements for each of the devises. Most have the same or very similar. However, once in a while you run into an appliance that requires more or less WC. As an example, the house I’m building has a garage furnace that requires a lower wc than everything in the house. Had to split ahead of the main regulator and install two different ones. In other cases, not needed and a single regulator does it all

Thanks Brian and Randy. I’ll be able to check the Camp Chef stove tomorrow for the pressure requirement and I’ll go from there. Randy, you mentioned running copper inside the house. Would you still install the regulator outside at the tank, or inside before the split?
    Thanks.
