Just wondering what prepay prices you are seeing in your area for propane. I was a little shocked when this years prices came in the mail today, $1.74.

I also just got rid of my Ferrel lease tank too. They jacked my lease up to $95 a year when I started burning more wood.
Then they wanted to charge me for coming to get THEIR tank. It sat in my yard for 3 more months. I called em up and asked where I should send the storage bill. The tank was gond the next day.

What does “Platinum Service” give you?

It locks you in annually instead of seasonally

Geez…I’ve been paying anywhere from $1.18 to $1.29 the past 5-6 years, there might have been one year at $1.549. Haven’t got my pre buy invoice yet but sounds like it for sure will be higher. Hoping for $1.59 instead of 1.79 I guess…

So what’s the reason for the price increase this year?

I tried to pre-buy, but after reading the contract it stated that if I don’t use X amount by Y date I’ll owe a surcharge equivalent to whatever it would have cost me to pay monthly throughout that date range. Basically paying the difference if I decide not to use it all. So I fail to see a benefit in my situation. I need to find a new provider.

Ask Joe Biden. We haven’t seen fuel prices increase like this since he was vice president…….

So what’s the reason for the price increase this year?

There is a shortage of truck drivers in almost every transportation industry. Maybe there aren’t enough propane truck drivers either?

Yup. Not sure how propane is tied into oil but kinda ironic all the oil industry and pipeline shutdown Joe has done and now hes asking OPEC to produce more oil to take pressure off rising gas and oil prices. What a maroon.

Anyone have an opinion on optimum Propane tank size for a single family home? We’ve moving north in a few months and will need to have a tank brought in. House will have a single boiler for radiant floor heat and hot water hooked to LP tank and everything else will be electric.

    Thanks!

Propane is made/ contained while processing natural gas and refining crude oil into gasoline. So it’s directly related and it’s hard to believe it’s all a big coincidence.

Imo if your buying your tank meaning you own your own tank, the bigger the better. The gas companies have it figured out if you lease there tank and more then likely won’t lease you more then a 500 gallon tank so your force to fill at peak price mid winter.

We had an option of prepay at 1.39 in June and forgot about it. Now it is 1.59 for August prepay. We got our summer fill and the driver said prices are expected to be pretty high this winter.

Just received a letter from lakes gas for prepay. Seems fishy since I have never received one in the past. Called them today for fill at house and shop. 250 gallon minimum $1.54.9 credit 1.44 if payed in 10 days. Hopefully we have a mild winter.

Prepaid ours at $1.51 our supplier carries over any we do not use as credit. If I could find 1000 gallon tank reasonable I surely would purchase it. As at that point you can shop price, and there is also a price break when delivering that much as it is considered a bulk delivery.

The major oil companies stated several months ago ….THEIR REASON …for rising prices of ALL THEIR PRODUCTS.

Their sales were down too much since Covid started.

They will NOT TAKE any loss of their incomes. You will pay …UNTIL.. They are satisfied. GOT THAT STRAIGHT !!!

No Biden or anyone else had ANYTHING to do with oil company products and price increases………. Keep the political bashing out of or countries problems.
